A tale of two countries: why has state capture seen China boom and South Africa bust?

In an article published on the international public management portal Global Government Forum, Ivor Chipkin compares the effects of corruption in South Africa and China from the perspective of his work on State Capture and the research developed on the subject by Singaporean researcher Yuen Yuen Ang. Chipkin highlights how the corruption models in each country are different – generating opposite effects on economic growth in each country.
